About the film

Pas de Deux is a short fiction film about childhood trauma, grief and the cathartic power of art. Inspired by ballet and classical music, the story unfolds to the sound of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Pas de Deux.

Director

Dedicated to her grandfather, who passed away shortly after the end of the Salvadoran civil war when she was 9 years old, Pas de Deux is Claudia's most personal film. She self-financed the production along with her husband, and shot it in two days with a volunteer cast and crew. The film was screened at the Montreal 2015 International Festival of Films on Art.
